Not counted as elderly.

May 07, 2008

Some aunties/uncles are just getting way too much!

From what we learn from young (from school/parents?), we should always give up our seats (public transport) to the elderly or pregnant women or to the disabled.

Though some do not practice that, but I do saw many who actually gave up seats to the elderly on the bus which I think it's very nice of them.

Sometimes, I think Singaporeans aren't that bad after all.

Not all Singaporeans are selfish asshole who only cares about themselves and not others what!

Okay, that's not the MAIN point.

The thing is, I cannot stand those middle aged aunties or uncles who think that their like 60 years old when they are only like 30plus to 40? And just because they are older than us, they just classified themselves as 'Elderly' (the category that we ought to offer our seats to!).

Most of the time, those people are aunties.

Yes, those Tai Tais-wannabe whom look snobbish and is freaking rich. Fancy putting on ridiculous strong perfume and thick make up and then expect us to give up seats to them!

IF THEY ARE SO RICH, THEY SHOULD GO AND TAKE THE CAB INSTEAD.

They can't possibly expect us to give up seats to them just because they're older than us BUT YET they are strong and fit enough to stand through the whole journey what right?

I had enough of them showing us or hinting us to give up our seats to them lor!

STOP:

* Telling your other friend that the youngsters should actually give up seats to you people cause you're elderly (when you're obviously NOT!!!)!

* Hinting us by having the look that you need the seat so much because you're wearing heels and not because you're too old/weak to stand through the journey!

* Giving out the *tsk tsk* sound and want us to offer you the seat!

* Thinking that you're an elderly or disabled!

Of course, I do give up seats before.

But not to them cause I don't see any point in doing it when I think we're all the same. In terms of respect, I still do respect them cause they are older than us.

But for this issue, NO WAY!

It's not like NOT giving up seats to them is counted as disrespect to them what!

Not at all!

Cause I think some of them are getting too over, especially those who think that they are RICHER and WEALTHIER! And we MUST obligingly offer our seats to them.

NO SUCH THING AT ALL OKAY.

Totally ridiculous.

You people don't come tell me rubbish that, since they're older than us giving up seats to them is the right thing to do.

Then I ask you this.

You're going back home from work, tired and hoping to get a seat after a long day of standing up... and the bus came, *boom* you luckily got yourself a seat!

Then after you sat down for afew stops, you saw this tai tai boarding the bus, carrying a number of shopping bags.

Now she is what you so call, elderly right?

SO WOULD YOU GIVE UP YOUR SEATS TO HER?

Someone who get so tired cause she shop the whole day, getting tired from thinking ways to spend their money away?

WILL YOU?

And worse comes to that, she expect us to give up our seats to her. Siao one lor some people!

Argh! I think I'm going to end this entry very very abruptly.

Like now.

p/s: I'm getting real tired so I've to end this now. But I'll update again tomorrow okay?! Happy anot? :)
